IMPORTANT MIGRATION INFORMATION

We are preparing to migrate customer DGL environments to new infrastructure as part of an upcoming hosting change. Our teams are working to ensure the migration is completed as smoothly as possible, with minimal disruption to your service.

This page contains the latest information, actions required (if any), and support guidance. We will provide your migration date via a pop up once you log in to the DGL platform.

Do I Need To Do Anything?

Most customers will not need to take any action.

However, if your organisation uses any of the following, action may be required:

  • Managed IT provider
  • Firewall restrictions
  • Network allow listing
  • Security access controls
If this applies to your practice:
please share the new IP addresses with your IT provider or internal IT team before your migration date.

Above is an updated list of the FQDNs that will be used in the new environment. However, these are wildcard FQDNs as each user gets their own unique FQDN so therefore there are hundreds in existence.

If your firewall is configured to allow FQDNs rather than explicit IP(s), then the existing FQDN for all users should continue to work as we will be transferring the records to point to the new platform. We would expect *.pm.dgl-solutions.com is already listed in your firewall.

Please note, currently users do not use the above FQDNs to connect but rather they use CNAME Records that point to these.

If the below FQDNs are whitelisted, then no interruption to services should be incurred.

*.pm.dgl-solutions.com

After the Migration

Once the migration is complete, you should notice the following:

1. Your practice should continue to operate as normal — no re-installation of DGL Practice Manager is required.
2. You may be asked to re-enter your login credentials on first use after migration when accessing email.
3. There should be no changes you need to make locally or on the DGL PM platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this migration happening?

Due to Microsoft licencing requirements and to add improved security around data protection, resilience and security.

Will there be downtime? (Service interruption)

Migrations will be performed in maintenance windows outside of normal business hours between 9pm and 06:00 the following morning.

Do I need to do anything?

Most customers do not need to take any action. If your organisation uses a managed IT provider or network firewall restrictions, you may need to share the new IP addresses with your IT team to maintain access.

What are the new IP addresses?

These can be found further up the page. Please share these with I.T providers in any locations you work from where they have a managed network to make sure there is nothing preventing you connecting to the new servers.

What if I cannot log in after migration?

If you are unable to login following the migration, this will likely be down to the new I.P addresses being blocked. You can contact our support team who will verify this and can liaise with your I.T teams to get the new I.P addresses unblocked.

Will my data be affected?

Your data will not be affected.

How will I know my migration date?

We will communicate your migration date via a pop up within the DGL environment so when you login you will be advised with plenty of notice.
